Written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, Oklahoma! is based on Lynn Riggs' play Green Grow the Lilacs. Director Daniel Fish's re-imagined and re-orchestrated revival brings the timely story of a tight-knit community banding together against an outsider and the impact of frontier life on shaping the United States into a new vision without altering the original text.
After a premiere at Bard College in 2007, where Vaill first joined Oklahoma!, the production played Bard SummerScape in 2015 before making its New York City premiere Off-Broadway at St. Ann's Warehouse in 2018. It then opened on Broadway in 2019, won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, and launched a currently-running U.S. tour.
