In her London debut, Tony winner Linda Lavin takes the stage with her concert Love Notes at Crazy Coqs September 28 at 7 PM. A second performance is scheduled for September 30.
Performing songs by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Antônio Carlos Jobim, the stage and screen actor also recounts stories from her career. Accompanying Lavin is a quartet of jazz musicians, including music director Billy Stritch on the piano, and jazz violinist Aaron Weinstein.
The six-time Tony nominee has been starring on the Broadway stage for the last six decades, playing in the original productions of The Riot Act, It's A Bird... It's A Plane.. It's Superman, Something Different, Broadway Bound, and more. On the small screen, she has has starred in Alice and B Positive, and made appearances in Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet and The Good Wife.
The cabaret venue's season will continue with pianist and singer Stritch performing a new show highlighting the music of Broadway composer Cy Coleman.
