To Kill a Mockingbird to Return to London's West End

Aaron Sorkin’s stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird will return to London's West End this summer.

Playing London's Wyndham's Theatre, a Delfont Mackintosh Theatre, the production will run from June 25-September 12. 

Acclaimed stage and screen actor Richard Coyle (The Player Kings) will reprise his role as Atticus Finch, which he previously played in the 2022 West End Production. Further casting will be announced at a later date.

Set in Alabama in 1934, Lee’s enduring story of racial injustice and childhood innocence centers on small-town lawyer Atticus Finch. The cast of characters includes Atticus’ daughter Scout; her brother Jem; their housekeeper and caretaker, Calpurnia; their visiting friend Dill; and a mysterious neighbor, the reclusive Arthur “Boo” Radley. The original novel has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide, and won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature .

Directed by Bartlett Sher, the creative team for To Kill a Mockingbird includes associate director Louisa Muller, set designer Miriam Buether, design supervisor Ed Pierce, costume designer Ann Roth, lighting designer Jennifer Tipton, and sound designer Scott Lehrer, with an original score by Adam Guettel. Kimberley Grigsby is the musical supervisor, Serena Hill is the casting director, Campbell Young Associates are the hair and wigs designers, Laurence Belcher is the resident director, and Tavia Jefferson is the cultural coordinator.

The 2026 West End season of To Kill a Mockingbird, as part of a U.K. and Ireland tour, is presented by Jonathan Church Theatre Productions in association with Karl Sydow and Tulchin Bartner.
