NBC is pulling back the Emerald curtain once and for all for two-hour special celebrating the upcoming movie theatre release of Wicked: For Good, set to be televised November 6, and we snuck backstage to document all of the fun festivities! Take a look in the gallery below.
Called Wicked: One Wonderful Night, the concert will precede the release of the conclusion of the two-part film version of Broadway's Wicked, scheduled to release in cinemas November 21.
The concert will be hosted by the film's stars, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, and feature performances by their co-stars, including Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, and Marissa Bode. The concert will feature reimagined musical arrangements, cast interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, exclusive surprises, and a sneak peek at what’s to come in the next chapter of Oz, including our most comprehensive preview yet of the two new, original songs written expressly for the film by Stephen Schwartz.

Filmed at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the event transforms the legendary venue into the Emerald City, complete with a 37-piece live orchestra led by the award-winning musical director Stephen Oremus. Choreographer Christopher Scott has reimagined numerous dance numbers from the screen to the stage for the special.
Airing November 6 at 8 PM ET on NBC, the concert will be available to stream on Peacock starting November 7. The special is produced by Fulwell Entertainment. Ben Winston and Raj Kapoor executive produce.
