The original West End cast of SIX: The Musical reunites June 27 to begin filming of the show onstage at the Vaudeville Theatre. A special live performance with an audience will be held July 1, after which performances will resume with the current reigning London cast.
Returning to the musical are joint Olivier nominees Jarnéia Richard-Noel as Catherine of Aragon, Millie O’Connell as Anne Boleyn, Natalie Paris as Jane Seymour, Alexia McIntosh as Anna of Cleves, Aimie Atkinson as Katherine Howard, and Maiya Quansah-Breed as Catherine Parr.
Liz Clare, who directed Adele - Live at the London Palladium, directs the film. Limited tickets to the July 1 performance were made available via the production's social media channels with a public ballot. Winners will have the chance to pose for photos and enjoy the show's purple carpet.
"Having our original cast captured on film is just such an exciting, mind-blowing prospect," said creators and 2022 Tony winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss in a statement. "We are so thrilled that we are finally going to be able to share their incredible performances of our show with the whole world! Live captures are such an important part of the world of theatre accessibility today—and we are so very grateful that we get this opportunity to share the six queens’ story this way."
Kenny Wax, Wendy and Andy Barnes, and George Stiles serve as SIX's producers.
