Geva Theatre seeks a qualified individual for the position of electrician. Geva Theatre is a LORT B theatre located in Rochester, NY. We produce in two spaces. The Wilson Stage is our 523-seat main space, and the Fielding Stage is our 180-seat second space. The ideal candidate should exhibit a strong understanding of theatrical production with an emphasis on lighting. Candidate should also exhibit an eagerness for learning and attention to detail. Must have a working knowledge of theatrical lighting fixtures and their operation/maintenance. Should be comfortable leading over-hire on various projects. Experience on ETC Eos consoles is required. Must be comfortable working at height and on ladders. Able to carry 50 lbs. on occasion and lift at least 20 lbs. overhead. This position is full time/seasonal and includes nights and weekends. Pay rate is $17.00 per hour.
