Even more tantalizing clips have been released from NBC's Wicked: One Wonderful Night, which airs November 6 at 8 PM ET.
Producers previously released a clip of co-stars Ethan Slater and Bowen Yang stepping into Jonathan Bailey's perfectly fitted boots for "Dancing Through Life."
Now available are clips of the film's leading ladies: Tony winner and Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo singing a portion of "The Wizard and I," and Oscar nominee Ariana Grande performing part of “No One Mourns the Wicked.” Watch their performances in the videos below.
The two-hour special celebrates the upcoming cinematic release of Wicked: For Good, the second half of the two-part Wicked adaptation, hitting movie theatres November 21. Hosted by Erivo and Grande, the TV event also features performances by their co-stars, including Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Slater, Yang, and Marissa Bode. The concert will include reimagined musical arrangements, cast interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, exclusive surprises, and a sneak peek at what’s to come in the next chapter of Oz, including the most comprehensive preview yet of the two new, original songs written expressly for the film by Stephen Schwartz.
Filmed at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the event
transforms the venue into the Emerald City, complete with a
37-piece live orchestra led by the award-winning musical director
Stephen Oremus. Choreographer Christopher Scott has reimagined numerous
dance numbers from the screen to the stage for the special.
The concert will also be available to stream on Peacock starting November 7. The special is produced by Fulwell Entertainment. Ben Winston and Raj Kapoor executive produce.
