Production photos have been released for the Theatre Royal Bath production of Vienna 1934 – Munich 1938, a new play written, directed by, and starring Olivier, Tony, and Academy Award winner Vanessa Redgrave. The play, which began performances July 11, uses family notebooks, journals, memoirs, and poetry to trace the friendship between her father, actor Michael Redgrave, poet Stephen Spender, and German writer Thomas Mann.
Redgrave, who has been workshopping the piece throughout the U.K, is joined onstage by Daisy Bevan, Robert Boulter, and Paul Hilton. The Theatre Royal Bath engagement is scheduled to run through August 3.
