Broadway News Amber Ardolino Begins Run in Broadway's A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical January 2

The performer succeeds Tony nominee Robyn Hurder in the role of Diamond's former wife, Marcia Murphey.

Amber Ardolino, whose Broadway credits include a long list of ensemble roles in hit musicals, makes her principal debut January 2 in A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical at the Broadhurst.

Ardolino takes on the role of Marcia Murphey, the former wife of Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Diamond (played in the show by American Idol winner Nick Fradiani). She succeeds Tony nominee Robyn Hurder, who played her final performance December 17. Ardolino's Broadway credits include Back to the Future, Moulin Rouge!, Hamilton, and Funny Girl.

Prior to her official debut, the production released a sneak peek of Ardolino performing the Diamond tune "Forever in Blue Jeans." Watch the video above. 

A Beautiful Noise takes a look at the life of Diamond then and now, accompanied by hits from his decades-long career in popular music. All songs are written or co-written by Diamond. Tony winner Michael Mayer directs the musical, which officially opened at the Broadhurst Theatre just over a year ago, December 4, 2022.

Other current cast members of A Beautiful Noise include Tony nominee Mark Jacoby as Neil Diamond–Now and Shirine Babb as Doctor, along with Jessie Fisher, Michael McCormick, Tom Alan Robbins, and Bri Sudia.
