True crime drama KENREX is set to begin an American premiere at Off-Broadway's Lucille Lortel Theatre April 16, and has now unveiled digital lottery and in-person rush ticket programs that will make seats to the show available for as little as $32.
A digital lottery, held via the TodayTix app, will accept entries beginning at 5 PM ET the day before each performance, closing at 9 AM ET the day of the performance. Winners will be drawn when the lottery closes, with winners able to claim up to two $42 tickets each.
Rush tickets will be available in-person at the Lucille Lortel Theatre box office for same-day performances, with patrons limited to two $32 tickets, subject to availability and first-come, first-served.
The play comes stateside just days after being honored with two 2026 Olivier Awards, with Jack Holden taking Best Actor and Giles Thomas winning Best Sound Design. Holden, who co-wrote the work with director Ed Stambollouian, will reprise his Olivier-winning performance Off-Broadway.
The work tells the true story of a 1981 shooting in Skidmore, Missouri, that happened in the daytime and with 60 witnesses—all who later claimed not to have seen anything. The play previously played sold-out runs at Sheffield Theatres’ Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse, and later Southwark Playhouse. Opening night for the Off-Broadway bow will be April 26.
The production features set and costume design by Anisha Fields, lighting and video design by Joshua Pharo, sound design by Thomas, and movement direction by Sarah Golding. Performances also feature an original score, written and performed live by John Patrick Elliott. Elliott's score has been released by an album and is currently available on streaming platforms.
