A new summer intensive aimed at high school-aged Broadway hopefuls will be held in New York City this summer. STAGEARTS Summer Intensive will be held July 15-19, with a teaching faculty that includes Amber Ardolino, Alex Grayson, Barrett Weed, Billy Bustamante, Britt Mack, Derek Klena, Emma Pittman, Hannah Kevitt, JJ Niemann, Justin Cooley, Lorna Courtney, Mary Kate Morrissey, Megan Sikora, Nick Drake, Sarah Meahl, and Taylor Louderman.
The program, the brainchild of Niemann, will give students a chance to receive one-on-one vocal coaching with Broadway notables, learn original Broadway choreography, refine dance techniques, attend Broadway shows, participate in Q&As, and have professional headshots taken. Participants will also have one of their coached song performances professionally recorded. Sessions will be held at Baryshnikov Arts Center.
Students interested in participating are asked to submit audition materials for consideration for one of the program's 60 available slots. A scholarship fund has been created to provide financial assistance where needed. Auditions are being accepted through May 1. Find out how to audition at StageArts.co.
