Tony winner Cynthia Erivo and Academy Award nominee Jeff Goldblum will release a joint cover of "If I Only Had A Brain" from The Wizard of Oz April 17.
The cover will be the newest single off of Goldblum's forthcoming album Night Blooms, set to be released in full June 5.
In a joint post on Instagram, the pair announced the impending collaboration, with hopes that fans "love it as much as we do.” The duo previously co-starred in the Wicked duology film adaptation, with Erivo portraying Elphaba and Goldblum portraying The Wizard.
While Erivo's Broadway bonafides are never far from people's minds (who could ever forget her Tony-winning performance in The Color Purple), you may be surprised to learn that Goldblum has a Broadway resume stretching back more than 50 years, long before he reached screen stardom. Goldblum made his Broadway debut in 1971 in the Tony-winning musical adaptation of Two Gentlemen of Verona, and has since played Broadway in 1981's The Moony Shapiro Songbook, 2005's The Pillowman, and 2012's Seminar, with a one-night-only stint in 2003's The Play What I Wrote.
