Get a 1st Look at The Festival; Taye Diggs, Mitch Wood, More Join Lineup

Broadway's about to have its very own Coachella in New York's Hudson Valley this summer, and Playbill has an exclusive first look at the upcoming festivities. See renderings of what The Festival is going to look like in the images above and below. The Festival will take place August 14–16 in Kingston's historic Hutton Brickyards.
Plus, the event has announced additional talent, which includes Broadway favorite Taye Diggs, Rent original cast member Aiko Nakasone, and TikToker Mitch Wood. They join the previously announced Audra McDonald, Kelli O’Hara, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Amber Ardolino, Julie Benko, Denée Benton, Tommy Bracco, Jason Robert Brown, Norbert Leo Butz, Jenn Colella, Cara Rose DiPietro, Tyler Joseph Ellis, Mandy Gonzalez, James Monroe Iglehart, Tom Kitt, Casey Likes, Eva Noblezada, Lauren Patten, Seth Rudetsky, Ben Levi Ross, Talia Suskauer, Adrienne Warren, and Joy Woods.
The event will also include a 30th anniversary celebration of the landmark Tony- and Pulitzer-winning musical Rent, featuring original cast members Adam Pascal, Aiko Nakasone, Anthony Rapp, Byron Utley, Fredi Walker-Brown, Jesse L. Martin, Kristen Lee Kelly, Taye Diggs, Timothy Britten Parker, Rodney Hicks, and Wilson Jermaine Heredia.
The event will combine concert performances with meet-and-greets with Broadway stars, with many industry professionals leading campfire sing-alongs, a piano bar, a dance party from Broadway Rave, theatrical costume contests, lectures, panels, master classes, and more. The event will also feature locally sourced food and beverages from Hudson Valley chefs and mixologists and a marketplace spotlighting local artisans, makers, and merchants. The Festival will also host events to benefit Broadway Cares.
Jerry Mitchell and D.B. Bonds are directing the inaugural event; Mitchell will also choreograph with Jon Rua.
Josh Saltman's A Weekend in the Country is producing, along with David B. Schwartz.
