November 1918: The Great War and The Great Gatsby, narrated by historian John Monsky, will be presented at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage November 8 at 8 PM.
The Veterans Day performance, also created by Monsky, will feature vocals from a host of Broadway artists, including Adam Jacobs, Kristolyn Lloyd, Stephanie Jae Park, Kate Rockwell, and Daniel Yearwood. Peter Flynn directs.
The exploration of World War I will feature music from the era as Monsky applies his blend of meticulously researched history and rare archival film and photography.
The evening will also feature the Orchestra of St. Luke's, conducted by music supervisor Ian Weinberger.
