Kids' Night on Broadway, the program of The Broadway League that sends kids 18 and under to Broadway shows for free as long as they're accompanied by a full-paying adult, will return February 24.
The 18 participating Broadway shows this year include Aladdin, All Out: Comedy About Ambition, & Juliet, Buena Vista Social Club, Chicago, The Great Gatsby, Hamilton, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, The Lion King, Maybe Happy Ending, MJ The Musical,Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Operation Mincemeat, The Outsiders, SIX: The Musical, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), and Wicked. (The performance date for Gatsby and SIX will be held February 25.) Tickets will be available for purchase at a later date.
"Kids’ Night on Broadway can play an important role in introducing the magic of Broadway to young people and their families,” said Jason Laks, president of The Broadway League, in a statement. “By welcoming new audiences, this program creates lasting memories, builds the next generation of theatre lovers, and reminds us of Broadway’s role as a family-friendly cultural experience.”
Kids’ Night ticket holders can also head to the Museum of Broadway and save 50% on admission. Join the Museum of Broadway February 24 from 9:30 AM-4 PM (last entry at 2:30 PM) for a day of Broadway games, trivia, and one-of-a-kind interactive experiences for kids of all ages. Restaurants participating in Kids' Night include AperiBar, Applebee’s (42nd Street), Applebee’s (50th Street), Bar Mexicana, Carnegie Diner and Café, Chicken Guy, Criollas Baked Empandas, Ellen’s Stardust Diner, Hard Rock Cafe, Havana Central, Le Rivage, Mermaid Oyster Bar, Planet Hollywood, Playwright Tavern, PS Kitchen, and Schnipper’s.
Kids’ Night on Broadway will continue to take place throughout the year in multiple cities around the country with different shows and venues providing their own approach to the event. This program is designed to introduce a new generation to the experience of live theatre.
