DESCRIPTION
Theatre Write Now is seeking directors for 10 upcoming developmental staged readings. These projects are being developed through Theatre Write Now’s second annual playwriting cohort. Join our community and help guide new plays that will be publicly presented for the first time.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. All positions are volunteer and unpaid.
Each reading will have a 1 week process that includes:
• Table Work Rehearsals: 7pm to 10pm Monday and Tuesday at New York City Center
• Further Rehearsals: 6pm to 10pm Wednesday through Friday at The Tank
• Performance Day: Creative team call at 6pm and performance at 7:30pm at Balance Arts Center
The first staged reading process will begin on April 20, 2026, and the final staged reading process will begin on June 22, 2026.
ABOUT THEATRE WRITE NOW
Theatre Write Now is a collaborative and generative cohort for early career playwrights produced and facilitated by KOPCORP. Co produced by Daisy Theatricals, Anna Giacalone, and Kelsey Ballard.
Theatre Write Now is founded and produced by Alex Kopnick and KOPCORP with the aim of creating a theatre making community that can rely on each other for constructive, positive feedback when sharing bold new work, helping new writers get connected to others in the industry, and generating new artistic projects for early career artists and audiences.
