DESCRIPTION

Bluff City Theater is hiring for our 2026 summer season and is looking for a director for our first show of the season, Topdog Underdog. BCT is a professional theatre company located in Hannibal, MO. Directing contracts pay $1,700 and requires any advance work necessary prior to rehearsals and to be in Hannibal for up to three weeks during the rehearsal process. Housing is provided while in Hannibal as well as a travel stipend. The option to rehearse the first week on

Zoom is available. The director is not required to stay in Hannibal after opening night.

The play tells the story of Lincoln and Booth, two brothers whose names were given to them as a joke, foretelling a lifetime of sibling rivalry and resentment.
