The Tony nominated musical, based on the novel by S.E. Hinton, will launch its tour at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, following tech rehearsals and previews at West Herr Auditorium Theatre in Rochester, New York.

“We could not imagine anywhere else to begin this next leg of The Outsiders journey than where it all began in Tulsa,” said producer Matthew Rego of The Araca Group in a statement. “S.E. Hinton’s novel has inspired generations and we’re thrilled for a new generation to experience the iconic story as we take The Outsiders across America.”

Additional cities, dates, and tour casting will be announced at a later date.
