Regional News Strategic Love Play Coming to Virginia's Signature Theatre

The play from Succession writer Miriam Battye is making its Washington, D.C. premiere after runs Off-Broadway and at Edinburgh Fringe.

Signature Theatre has found its cast for the upcoming D.C.-area premiere of Miriam Battye (Succession)'s Strategic Play, set to play the Virginia company's ARK Theatre September 23-November 9 following acclaimed runs Off-Broadway and at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Starring in the Signature run of the two-hander will be Bligh Voth (Here We Are) and Danny Gavigan. Signature Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner is directing. The work follows a couple who meet after matching via dating apps, only for the date to spiral into something wholly unexpected.

The production will feature scenic design by Paige Hathaway, costume design by Kathleen Geldard, lighting design by Andrew Cissna, and sound design by Kenny Neal. Casting is by Charlotte La Nasa, with New York casting by Geoff Josselson Casting. Leigh Robinette will serve as production stage manager, with Miranda Korieth as production assistant.
