The Broadway production of the international hit musical Wicked welcomes several new principal players beginning March 3 at the Gershwin Theatre.

Keri René Fuller, the standby for the role of Elphaba, assumes the part full time, while Emma Flynn, who played Cher in the West End musical Clueless, makes her Broadway debut as Glinda. Fuller has also appeared on Broadway in SIX, Jagged Little Pill, and Waitress. A graduate of The Hartt School of Music, Flynn's U.S. regional credits include Guys and Dolls, Beautiful, and Legally Blonde.

Ellen Harvey, Blake Hammond, Carl Man, and Oluchi Nwaokorie

The award-winning musical also welcomes Ellen Harvey (Cabaret) as Madame Morrible; Blake Hammond, arriving on Broadway from the musical's national tour, as The Wizard; Carl Man, making his Broadway debut following his performance in London's Wicked as Fiyero, and Oluchi Nwaokorie (Parade) in her Broadway debut as the new Elphaba standby. Man is making history as the first actor of Asian descent to play Fiyero full time on Broadway.

They join a company that includes Jenna Bainbridge as Nessarose, Daniel Quadrino as Boq, and William Youmans as Dr. Dillamond, a role he originated in the original Broadway company.

The history-making Lencia Kebede, Allie Trimm, Jordan Litz, Brad Oscar, and Natasha Yvette Williams played their final performances as, respectively, Elphaba, Glinda, Fiyero, The Wizard, and Madame Morrible, March 1.

Wicked began previews on Broadway October 8, 2003, with an official opening October 30. The original cast included Tony winners Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth as, respectively, Elphaba and Glinda. Currently the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history, the production celebrated its 20th anniversary in October 2023.

With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, the musical is based on the novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire.

The Joe Mantello-helmed production features musical staging by Wayne Cilento, scenic design by Eugene Lee, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Kenneth Posner, sound design by Tony Meola, projections by Elaine J. McCarthy, wig and hair design by Tom Watson, music supervision and arrangements by Stephen Oremus, orchestrations by William David Brohn, and dance arrangements by James Lynn Abbott. Casting is by the Telsey Office.

Wicked won 2004 Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical (Menzel), Best Costume Design (Hilferty), and Best Scenic Design (Lee). The first half of the two-part Wicked film, directed by Jon M. Chu, recently picked up two 2025 Academy Awards.

The musical, which reopened on Broadway September 14, 2021, following the pandemic shutdown, is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Stage Productions, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt, and David Stone.
