Ham4Ham is back with another special edition celebrating Broadway's newest shows! Hamilton and Lin-Manuel Miranda will host the special Ham4Ham concert outside the Richard Rodgers Theatre May 19 beginning at 4 PM. Set to join are 2023 Tony nominees and A Doll's House stars Jessica Chastain and Arian Moayed, plus stars from Kimberly Akimbo and Camelot.
This latest Ham4Ham is the second time the series has returned since its original run, following a May 5 edition featuring the cast of Broadway's Sweeney Todd. The outdoor impromptu concert series was a mainstay in the year following Hamilton's starry premiere on Broadway, with composer-star Lin-Manuel Miranda greeting hopefuls in line for each performance's discount ticket lottery with a performance on the steps of the theatre, sometimes improvised, and often including guests from neighboring shows. See video from the Sweeney Todd Ham4Ham below.
According to Miranda's Instagram post announcing the event, we might be able to expect yet more Ham4Ham concerts. "We just have TOO much to celebrate this Broadway season," writes Miranda.
To attend a Ham4Ham performance, all one has to do is congregate outside of the Richard Rodgers—no ticket necessary! We at Playbill recommend, however, coming early, as space may be at a premium.
