Calling all Beckys!

The Broadway staging of Becky Shawthe dark comedy from two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Gina Gionfriddo currently in previews at the Hayes Theater—is hosting a "Night of a Thousand Beckys" next month.

At the April 2 preview performance (the Second Stage Theater production officially opens April 6), producers hope to pack the Hayes with as many Beckys (or Beccas or Rebeccas or Becks, etc.) as possible. Anyone with those names can use the code IAMBECKY* to snag tickets as low as $59 for the performance. The first 100 Beckys who purchase tickets to that night’s show will receive a swag bag along with other surprises.

Directed by Trip Cullman, the play centers on a blind date as it spirals spectacularly off the rails. Initially premiering Off-Broadway with Second Stage in 2009, the play was a Pulitzer finalist, alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights and Lynn Nottage's Ruined, which took the top prize.

The Broadway company stars Emmy nominee Madeline Brewer (You, The Handmaid’s Tale) in the title role of Becky Shaw, with Tony winner Lauren Patten (Jagged Little Pill, Days of Rage) as Suzanna, Patrick Ball (The Pitt) as Andrew, Alden Ehrenreich (Weapons) as Max, and three-time Tony nominee Linda Emond (Cabaret) as Susan.

The production serves as the Broadway debuts for much of the company. Along with playwright Gionfriddo, the play marks the Broadway debut for Brewer, Ball, and Ehrenreich.

Cullman's creative team includes scenic designer David Zinn, costume designer Kaye Voyce, and lighting designer Stacey Derosier.
