Rebel Genius, inspired by the passionate early life of Albert Einstein, follows a young Einstein as he falls in love with Mileva Marić, risking everything in pursuit of the elusive Unified Theory. Alongside Einstein’s journey, the musical intertwines the figures of Max Planck, Niels Bohr, and the shadow of the atomic bomb.

Rebel Genius was a finalist for both the Richard Rodgers Award and the Jonathan Larson Grant.

Puckett received a Peabody Award for his music in the ABC documentary series Hopkins and earned an ASCAP Film/TV Award for his work on NY Med. Puckett is also developing a new musical TV series featuring songs co-written with Lauren Mayberry and is at work on a screenplay for the feature Elaine, to be directed by Michael Mayer.
