Broadway Junior alumni joined students in performance for the Broadway Junior Retrospective, honoring the 20th anniversary of Broadway Junior.

The 2027 Junior Theater Festivals in Atlanta and Sacramento have already sold out, with space for Sacramento's Junior Theater Festival West selling out during a pre-sale period for returning groups, and Atlanta's festival selling out by 7 AM April 1, the first day of general sales. Both festivals now have waitlists available. Space is also currently available for educators looking to attend without kids for professional development.

JTF Atlanta, set for January 15-17, will welcome 144 groups with more than 7,000 student performers, teachers, and chaperones. JTF West, being held February 5-7 in Sacramento, California, will host 64 groups with more than 3,000 student performers, teachers, and chaperones.

"Seeing both festivals sell out this quickly is a clear reflection of what’s happening in classrooms and communities around the world—students and teachers are showing up for musical theatre in a big way,” says iTheatrics Founder and CEO Timothy Allen McDonald. “What’s most exciting is not just the growth, but the level of artistry and commitment we’re seeing from these groups. JTF continues to be a place where that work is recognized, shared, elevated, and most importantly celebrated.”

JTF celebrates musical theatre and musical theatre education with a weekend of events and performances that bring Broadway and West End professionals together with educators and young students. Youth theatre companies can bring 15-minute staged selections (from titles in musical licensor Music Theatre International's Broadway Junior collection) for adjudication. Students can also attend interactive workshops. Students interested in technical theatre can participate in the tech track, which includes the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals backstage for the festival's mainstage events. The event is sponsored by Music Theatre International, Playbill, Disney Theatrical Group, and Broadway Media; and produced by Junior Theater Festival Productions.
