It's so dreamy! Linus O'Brien's documentary Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror will be released to the public September 26, and a new trailer has been released: check it out above!

The film, which premiered at South by Southwest earlier this year, traces the origins of one of the greatest cult classics of all time. Featuring extensive interviews with O'Brien's father Richard, who created Rocky Horror, as well as with stars Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry, and more, the film is a must watch for Rocky Horror fans, especially ahead of the upcoming Broadway revival.

The film will have a limited theatrical run in more than 50 U.S. cities starting on September 26, including the Landmark Theatres Nuart in Los Angeles, the Village East by Angelika in New York and the Music Box Theater in Chicago. Full screening listings can be found at RockyHorrorDoc.com.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is the longest-running theatrical cinema release in the world. Starring Tim Curry as the devious and fabulous Frank-N-Furter; Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon as everybody's favorite nerdy couple, Brad and Janet; Meatloaf as ex-delivery boy Eddie who dates the groupie Columbia (played by Nell Campbell); and Patricia Quinn as Magenta, servant to Riff Raff (Richard O'Brien); the film blends mid-century B horror film aesthetics, sci-fi fantasy, and a hefty dose of taboo-shattering self-expression to create a wholly unique experience.

Produced by Adam Gibbs, Garret Price, Avner Shiloah, and O’Brien, the documentary is the newest venture from the team behind HBO and The Ringer’s Music Box films Woodstock 99 and Yacht Rock.
