Original The Rocky Horror Picture Show star Peter Hinwood will make a rare public appearance at a 50th anniversary celebration of the film later this month in London.
Hinwood, who played Rocky in the cult classic film, left the entertainment industry shortly after to pursue a career as an antiques dealer. Hinwood was a professional model when he was chosen to play the blonde muscle hunk, although he had little singing or acting experience. In the film, he was vocally dubbed by Australian singer Trevor White. Prior to Rocky Horror, he had played the Greek god Hermes in the Adventures of Ulysses mini-series on British television. After Rocky Horror, he capped his cinematic career in Paul Humfress and Derek Jarman’s Roman historical drama, Sebastiane.
He will attend The Rocky Horror Picture Show 50th Anniversary Spectacular Tour stop at London's Dominion Theatre April 19, alongside fellow cast members Barry Bostwick (who played Brad Majors), Nell Campbell (who played Columbia), and Patricia Quinn (who played Magenta).
Audiences in each city will have an opportunity to meet the cast members, participate in a costume contest, and view a shadowcast performance of the 4k remastered version of the full, un-edited film. Limited VIP tickets are avaivable that include a meet and greet with Hinwood, Bostwick, Campbell, and Quinn. The meet and greet package includes a special laminate, an autographed photo or personal item, and picture with all three stars on your own camera.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show 50th Anniversary Spectacular Tour is produced by Scott Stander and The Stander Group.
