Paper Mill Playhouse has found full casting for their upcoming production of Disney's Frozen, set to bow at the New Jersey theatre beginning November 26 ahead of a November 30 opening night. The company has also already extended the run an additional week, with performances now set to continue through January 11, 2026.
Mary Kate Morrissey (Wicked) and Samantha Williams (Pirates! The Penzance Musical) will lead the cast as sisters Elsa and Anna, respectively, with Daniel Yearwood (Hamilton) as Kristoff, Sam Gravitte (Wicked) as Hans, Todd Buonopane (Chicago) as Olaf, Mark Price (Mary Poppins) as Lord Weselton, and Thomas Whitcomb (Miguel Wants to Fight) as Sven. In the youth cast, Anjali Roa will star as Young Anna and Hazel Vogel will be Young Elsa.
The ensemble will comprise Sherz Aletaha, Jasmine Bassham, Badia Farha, Maggie Gidden, Erin Gonzales, Beau Harmon, Dakota Hoar, Fiona Claire Huber, Albert Jennings, Ryan Lambert, Liesl Landegger, Nathan Lucrezio, Greg Mills, Kevin Ivey Morrison, Evelyn Peterson, Patricia Phillips, Hugo Pizano Orozco, Leah Platt, Ethan Saviet, Graham Stevens, and Matthew Varvar, and understudy Juliette Meris will round out the company. Casting is by The TRC Company.
Adapted from the 2013 animated film, Frozen features a book by screenwriter Jennifer Lee and songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, including both the songs from the original film and new tunes added for the stage incarnation. The musical opened on Broadway in 2018, and closed when Broadway shut down from the COVID pandemic in 2020. A West End bow opened in 2021, which was later filmed live and released on Disney+.
Paige Price is directing the new staging, which will feature choreography by Shea Sullivan, music direction by Geoffrey Ko, costume design by Timothy Mackabee, lighting design by Ryan J. O'Gara, sound design by Don Hanna, projection design by Mike Tutaj, puppet design by Afsaneh Aayani, scenic coordination and additional design by Kelly James Tighe, costume coordination and additional design by Scott Westervelt, and hair, wig, and makeup design by Kelley Jordan. Patricia L. Grabb will serve as production stage manager.
