The cast and creative team of Broadway's upcoming Pictures From Home met the press December 7. Tony winners Nathan Lane and Danny Burstein and Tony nominee Zoë Wanamaker will star in the new play from Sharr White (The Snow Geese, The Other Place). Directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, To Kill a Mockingbird), the work will play Broadway's Studio 54 beginning January 10, 2023, and open in February.
White has adapted the work from Larry Sultan's 1992 autobiographical photo memoir of the same name, tracking a mother, father, and son who photograph their lives as they journey from Brooklyn to the San Fernando Valley. The piece was previously developed by New York Stage and Film in 2019 with director Danielle Tool, and received a developmental reading at Houston's Alley Theatre in 2020 directed by Rob Melrose.
The producing team for Pictures From Home is led by Jeffrey Richards, Hunter Arnold, Rebecca Gold, Jayne Baron Sherman, Kayla Greenspan, and Jacob Soroken Porter.
