Samantha Pauly, who plays Jordan Baker in the Broadway production of The Great Gatsby, is currently on a temporary medical leave from the production at the Broadway Theatre.
Pauly, who is recovering from a tear in her right hip, posted on Instagram that she will be out of the new musical February 24–March 11, returning March 12. While the former Six star is on leave, the role of Jordan Baker will be covered by understudies Traci Elaine Lee, Dariana Mullen, and Elena Ricardo.

The Broadway company is currently led by Ryan McCartan as Jay Gatsby
and Sarah Hyland as Daisy Buchanan with Charlie Pollock as George Wilson, Terrence Mann as Wolfsheim, Sara Chase as Myrtle Wilson, John Zdrojeski as Tom Buchanan, and Noah J. Ricketts as Nick Carraway.

Based on the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, The Great Gatsby features music and lyrics by Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square) and Jason Howland (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) and a book by Jonathan Larson Grant winner Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones). Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) directs with choreography by Dominique Kelley (Mariah’s Magical Christmas Special).
Set in the Roaring '20s, the musical follows eccentric millionaire Jay Gatsby, who will stop at nothing in his tragic pursuit of Daisy Buchanan, a wealthy young woman whom he loved in his youth.

Brian Ronan, lighting design by Cory Pattak, and hair and wig design by

The new musical won the 2024 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical.
