The New Hope, Pennsylvania, theatre company will stage a mix of new productions and Broadway classics.

The 2026 season lineup for Bucks County Playhouse will include a new musical written by Emily Saliers, Beth Malone, and Mary Ann Stratton as well as cherished favorites like RentCat on a Hot Tin Roofand more. The upcoming season marks the final one under the leadership of Producing Director Alexander Fraser, Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, and Producer Josh Fiedler, who have shaped each season at the New Hope, Pennsylvania, venue since 2014.

The season will begin with the world premiere of the new musical Starstruck. With a book by Beth Malone (Fun Home) and Mary Ann Stratton and music and lyrics by Emily Saliers (Indigo Girls), Lorin Latarro (The Who's Tommy, Chess) will direct and choreograph. Spinning off of the story of Cyrano de Bergerac, Starstruck follows Cyd DeBerg in the small town of Sawtooth, Idaho, as she aims to create the first International Dark Sky Reserve in the United States—against the wishes of her fellow townspeople. It will run February 20-March 21, with an official opening night February 28.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will follow, playing April 23–May 23. Eric Rosen will direct the new production of Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize-winning play, set on a steamy night in the Mississippi Delta, as a family gathers to celebrate Big Daddy’s birthday and Maggie “the Cat” fights to save her marriage to Brick.

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific will kick off the summer, running June 18–July 26. The World War II era romance musical will be directed and choreographed by Denis Jones.

Rent will close out the summer, running August 13–September 13. Jennifer Weber will direct and choreograph Jonathan Larson's groundbreaking musical following a group of artists searching for connection, meaning, and truth against the backdrop of 1990's New York in the midst of the AIDS crisis. 

Holiday Inn: The New Irving Berlin Musical will arrive just in time for the festive season, running November 19–January 3, 2027. Hunter Foster will direct the musical inspired by the film of the same title centering on an owner of Connecticut farmhouse who transforms it into an unlikely holiday-first entertainment haven.
