Tony nominee Veanne Cox (Company, an American in Paris) and Emmy nominee Melissa Gilbert (Little House on the Prairie, The Miracle Worker) are the current stars of Michael Griffo's Pen Pals, currently playing a four-times extended run at Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre through March 15, 2026.

Inspired by a true story, Pen Pals invites audiences into the lives of Bernie and Mags—two women whose bond was forged in adolescence. This story of connection and resilience unfolds through five decades of letters between the two women who never meet in person.

by Nick Simone, and production stage management by Rose Riccardi.
