Off-Broadway's Pen Pals has gotten a fourth and final extension at the DR2 Theatre, and will now continue through March 16, 2026. The show has featured a rotating lineup of stars for its entire run and is getting some new names for the newly added performances.

Among those stars are Sharon Lawrence and Maureen McCormick, both making an encore bow in the production; alongside newcomers Melora Hardin (The Office), Gina Torres (Suits), two-time Tony nominee Carmen Cusack (Bright Star, Flying Over Sunset), Tony nominee Jodi Benson (Crazy for You, The Little Mermaid), and Tony nominee Marcia Mitzman Gaven (Chess).

“We couldn’t be more excited to extend Pen Pals one final time for what has been a glorious NYC chapter on this show’s journey. Every woman who has stepped into these roles has brought something fresh, fearless, and deeply personal. Their performances are the heartbeat of this production, and this next group of actresses continues that tradition with extraordinary grace and power,” said producer Lisa Dozier Shacket in a statement.

Performance dates of the stars follow:

November 25-December 7: Paige Davis and Montego Glover
December 10-21: Donna Lynne Champlin and Emily Skinner
December 23-January 4, 2026: Veanne Cox and Melissa Gilbert
January 7-18: Sharon Lawrence and Maureen McCormick

The production also has scenic design by Jessica Parks, costume design by David C. Woolard, lighting design by Jill Nagle, sound design by Nick Simone, and production stage management by Rose Riccardi.

Pen Pals is produced by Shacket, Rachel Stange, Joe Trentacosta, Logan DeWitt, Anthony Hazzard and Scott Stolzenberg, Holly Garman, Michael Graf, Cherie Lindley, in association with NJ Repertory Company, Heiress Productions, Inc.

General management is by LDK Productions/Michael Shannon.

The production began at NJ Rep and made its Off-Broadway debut at St. Clements Theatre.
