Abingdon Theatre Company will host an industry reading of a new musical from Jon D'Agostino and Michael August, titled Every Wednesday Night, November 21. Chad Austin is directing, with music direction by Dave Klodowski.
To perform the work will be Maria Bilbao (Sweeney Todd), Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde), Dave Droxler (Robin & Me), Keri René Fuller (Wicked), Jeffrey Grover (Capote's Women), Sean Michael McGee (Jersey Boys), Lance Roberts (Just In Time), Katie Sexton (The Play That Goes Wrong), Rema Webb (Hell's Kitchen), and Jared Zirilli (Summer). Casting is by Karie Koppel.
The musical—featuring music and lyrics by D'Agostino and August, and a book by D'Agostino—is described in press notes as a "pop/rock musical that dives into life, love, loss, and the magical healing of music."
The reading will be stage managed by Allison Leah Hohman.
