Audible Theater's hit musical Mexodus is returning to New York—sort of. Show creators and stars Nygel D. Robinson and Brian Quijada will headline a concert at 54 Below January 13, 2026, where they will perform songs from the hit musical, as well as from other projects.

The evening, called The Songs of Nygel D. Robinson and Brian Quijada, will recount how the pair meeting right before the COVID-19 pandemic, began working on a musical together called Mexodus, and how that musical has become a hit in four different cities.

Mexodus played its final performance at Off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theatre November 1, after a much-extended engagement. A tour as well as an audio release on Audible is forthcoming. Mexodus had Robinson and Quijada recounting the story of enslaved people who escaped bondage by fleeing to Mexico. It had the duo playing multiple instruments on the stage, and using a looping station to layer in their orchestrations live.
