Manhattan Theatre Club has announced the lineup of plays to be showcased in their 2026 Ted Snowdon Reading Series, which supports and develops innovative new work. Readings will be held on Mondays March 9–30 at New York City Center – Stage I. All readings are free and open to the public, with limited space and RSVPs required.

C.A. Johnson's Lagniappe will be presented March 9 at 4 PM. Directed by Eric Ting, the play follows the day-to-day lives of residents of New Orlean's Bunche Village subdivision as they find community at the local corner store.

Dylan Guerra's Signaling will be presented March 16 at 4 PM. The work, directed by Estefanía Fadul, is set at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, as American astrophysicist Frank Drake and others craft the Arecibo Message to be sent into space, hoping to convey a message of humanity to the other lifeforms that may or may not be out in the universe.

Jaclyn Backhaus' The Collectivists will be presented March 23 at 4 PM, centering on a young woman caring for her elderly father with dementia. Zoë Adams will direct.

Written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer, A Mountain for Elodie will be presented March 30 at 4 PM. Séimí Campbell will direct the piece exploring how the birth of Scheuer's daughter Elodie helped him realize the closure he thought he’d found with his own long-dead father needed to be re-examined.
