Feinstein’s/54 Below, the supper club located below Studio 54, will boast these events of interest to theatre folk the week of August 24–31.

August 24–27, August 29–September 3: Michael Feinstein: Showstoppers
The co-owner and namesake of Feinstein’s returns to his home base with a concert of songs that explore the meaning of the expression “showstopper.” Special guests: Tony Award winners John Lloyd Young (August 24–27) and Betty Buckley (August 29–September 3). August 24–26: Lesli Margherita: Rule Your Kingdom
The Olivier Award-winning star Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Dames at Sea, Zorro) returns to the club with a new take on her signature cabaret show. 9:30 PM Click here for details.

August 25: Mike Wartella

The actor currently playing Mike Teevee in Broadway’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sings rock, showtunes, and his own original songs. 11:30 PM Click here for details.
August 27: New Writers at 54! Chasing Summer: The Songs of Ben Chavez and Yianni Papadimos
PJ Adzima, Adrenne Eller, F. Michael Haynie, Julia Knitel, Ryann Redmond, Kuhoo Verla, and other stage veterans will lend their voices to a concert of songs from the team’s The Cobalteans (NYMF 2015 Outstanding music, lyrics, and book), selections from their new musical Elysium, and other songs. 9:30 PM

August 28, September 25: Julia Mattison IS Ruby Manger
Julia Mattinson performs as her alter ego, Broadway and Hollywood diva Ruby Manger, sharing the scandalous backstage stories of her fictional career, including her “Tony-winning” performance in the Best Musical, I See You, Not Really, But You Know What I Mean. Guest performers: Taylor Trensch of Hello, Dolly!, Andrew Kober, and Noel Carey. 7 PM

August 28: New Writers at 54! Yandura & Melocik: The Revolution Will Be Expository
The team will perform numbers from their musicals Wringer; The Last Queen of Canaan; and The Coup, or You Me and the Piano; as interpreted by Courtney Wolfson, Dan DeLuca, Bonnie Milligan, Tori Scott, Charity Angél Dawson, Donald Webber Jr., and other Broadway veterans. 9:30 PM
August 29: Turn the Beat Around: Feinstein’s/54 Below Celebrates Studio 54
Scott Coulter directs a salute to Feinstein’s/54 Below’s scandalous past as a party room for the notorious Studio 54 disco, which operated upstairs. Period classics will be performed by a cast of 19, including Cheryl Freeman, Tyce Green, Jessica Hendy, and Will Porter. 9:30 PM
August 30: New Writers at 54! Opening Numbers by Noel Carey
Tony Award nominee Emily Skeggs (Fun Home), and Drama Desk Award nominee Patrick Page (Spider-Man) lead a cast of stage veterans who will perform opening numbers from nine of Carey’s musicals including Zazou, The Showmen, and Seven Minutes in Heaven. 9:30 PM

August 31: New Writers at 54! The Songs of Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair

Tony Award nominees Stephanie D’Abruzzo (Avenue Q) and Sarah Stiles (Hand to God) will join Chip Zien, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, and other Broadway veterans in performing songs by the team that created the Off-Broadway musical Murder for Two. 9:30 PM Click here for details
