Producers Lee Daniels and Brian Anthony Moreland will bring Ain't No Mo', written and performed by Jordan E. Cooper, to Broadway's Belasco Theatre in the fall. Previews will start November 3 with opening night set for December 1.

Further casting for the five-actor work will be announced in the coming weeks.

Both Cooper and Daniels will make their Broadway debuts with the production.

The comedy imagines what would happen if the U.S. government offered Black Americans one-way plane tickets to Africa. The work played a world-premiere run at Off-Broadway's The Public Theater in 2019. Read reviews for that staging here.

Back from the Public's staging are director Stevie Walker-Webb, making his Broadway debut at the helm of the production, and lighting designer Adam Honoré. New to the creative team for the Main Stem run are scenic designer Scott Pask and costume designer Emilio Sosa. General management is by Wagner Johnson Productions.

"Not since the original Dreamgirls, have I been so moved by a piece of theatre," says Daniels in a statement. "I knew it would take something extraordinary to finally lure me to Broadway, and Ain’t No Mo’ is it. Jordan E. Cooper is a revelation, and I can’t wait for a whole new audience to lay witness to what he has created. Broadway ain’t gon’ be the same!"
