News Itinerary Announced for Holiday Tour of Elf; Musical Will Play Theater at Madison Square Garden Initial cities and dates have been announced for the holiday tour of Elf The Musical, the Broadway show based on the film of the same name.

Elf features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone).

Sam Scalamoni will direct the tour with choreography by Connor Gallagher.

The current tour itinerary follows.

Springfield, IL - Sangamon Auditorium (Nov. 6-7)
Sacramento, CA - Community Center Theater (Nov. 6-15)
Boston, MA - Wang Theatre (Nov. 17 - Dec. 6)
Modesto, CA - Gallo Center for the Arts (Nov. 17-18)
Thousand Oaks, CA - Fred Kavli Theatre (Nov. 19 - 22)
Las Vegas, NV - The Smith Center (Nov. 24-29)
Atlanta, GA - The Fox Theatre (Dec. 2 - 6)
New York City, NY - Theater at Madison Square Garden (Dec. 9 - 27)
Dallas, TX - Music Hall at Fair Park (Dec. 8-20)
North Charleston, SC - North Charleston Performing Arts Center (Dec. 22-23)
Cleveland, OH - Playhouse Square (Dec. 29 - Jan. 3, 2016)

Additional tour markets and casting information will be announced at a later date. The musical is described as "the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy's enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas."
