Michael John LaChiusa’s Hello Again marks only the fifth time an Off-Broadway musical has been made into a feature film. The cast boasts an impeccable roster of stars, including Audra McDonald, Martha Plimpton, Cheyenne Jackson, T.R. Knight, Al Calderon, Rumer Willis, Jenna Ushkowitz, and more.
Hello Again partnered with The Actors Fund to give us a glimpse inside the movie and to raise awareness for the organization that helps everyone in entertainment with everything from healthcare to affordable housing to senior services.
Based on the play La Ronde by Arthur Schnitzler about humanity’s need for connection and pleasure, LaChiusa’s 1994 musical for Lincoln Center Theater comes to the screen in this unconventional telling of love versus lust. The musical follows love affairs among ten characters during ten different decades. The original musical was directed and choreographed by Tony nominee Graciela Daniele. Tom Gustafson directs the movie adapted by Cory Krueckeberg. Watch clips from the movie in the video above.
Hello Again hits theatres November 8. Check out show times on HelloAgainMovieTix.com.
