Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 Tony nominee Denée Benton joins Broadway's Into the Woods as Cinderella beginning November 21 and continuing through December 24. The performer originated the role in the production's pre-Broadway run at New York City Center earlier this year.

Benton succeeds current Cinderella, Krysta Rodriguez. The Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical continues at the St. James Theatre through January 8, 2023.

The current cast of Into the Woods also includes Brian d'Arcy James as the Baker, Stephanie J. Block as the Baker's Wife, Montego Glover and Patina Miller sharing the role of The Witch, Gavin Creel as the Wolf and Cinderella's Prince, Andy Karl as Rapunzel's Prince, Katy Geraghty as Little Red Ridinghood, Jim Stanek as the Steward, Cole Thompson as Jack, Ann Harada as Jack's Mother, David Patrick Kelly as the Mysterious Man, Nancy Opel as Cinderella's Stepmother, and Alysia Velez as Rapunzel. Joshua Henry will return to the production as Rapunzel's Prince November 24, and it was recently announced that 2022 Tony winner Joaquina Kalukango will take over the role of The Witch beginning December 16.

The cast is rounded out by Ta'Nika Gibson, Annie Golden, Albert Guerzon, Brooke Ishibashi, Kennedy Kanagawa, Delphi Borich, Felicia Curry, Jason Forbach, Alex Joseph Grayson, Cameron Johnson, Paul Kreppel, Mary Kate Moore, Diane Phelan, and Lucia Spina.

With a book by James Lapine and a score by Stephen Sondheim, Into the Woods combines the fairy-tale stories of Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and more, ultimately going beyond "ever after" to explore what happens next.

The Into the Woods creative team includes music director Rob Berman; choreographer Lorin Latarro; scenic designer David Rockwell; costume designer Andrea Hood; lighting designer Tyler Micoleau; sound designer Scott Lehrer, co-designing with Alex Neumann; puppet designer James Ortiz; and hair and makeup designer Cookie Jordan. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Craig Burns, and Cody Renard Richard serves as production supervisor. Justin Scribner is production stage manager, and music coordination is by Seymour Red Press and Kimberlee Wertz.

Following a two-week run at New York City Center in May, the revival transferred to Broadway's St. James Theatre, where it opened July 10, after beginning previews June 28.
