Matt DeAngelis’ monthly music event Saloon Sessions will continue February 23 with an evening of folk and Broadway tunes presented at Hurley’s Saloon.
Special guests will include Amber Ardolino (Back to the Future), Katerina McCrimmon (Funny Girl), the cast of Swept Away, indie-folk-pop-americana trio Bandits on the Run (featuring Swept Away’s Adrian Blake Enscoe), and more to be announced.
Saloon Sessions is part of The Janice Jam: Broadway For Breast Cancer series, with net proceeds of ticket sales to benefit Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
DeAngelis lost his mother, Janice, to metastatic breast cancer in 2022. He began to produce concerts and evenings of music and stories to celebrate, educate, and support those living with breast cancer, or those who have lost loved ones to the disease.
“Saloon Sessions is another great way we can get people into the room to learn about metastatic breast cancer and the work that is needed to eradicate this awful disease,” said DeAngelis in a statement. “But also, this in-person event promises to be a joy-filled night to remember; so, grab your friends, grab a drink, and make your way to Saloon Sessions for a musical experience like no other!”
“It’s wonderful to have the Broadway community supporting this incredible cause at Hurley’s Restaurant and Bar”, added Anne Calimano, Managing Partner of Hurley’s Saloon. “We look forward to this and many more evenings of music and merriment together and hope you too can join us!”
