Tony winner Alex Newell is bringing a solo show Off-Broadway via Audible Theater.

Alex Newell and the Gospel of a Diva will play the Minetta Lane Theatre for three performances June 27-29 with Zhailon Levingston (Cats: "The Jellicle Ball," Chicken & Biscuits) at the helm. The show will be recorded for future release by Audible.

Newell made Broadway history in 2023, becoming the first openly non-binary actor to win a Tony Award for their featured performance in Shucked (J. Harrison Ghee matched the achievement later in the same evening, winning Best Leading Actor in a Musical for their work in Some Like It Hot). Breaking onto the scene on TV's Glee, Newell has spent the bulk of their career since on the stage, making a Broadway debut in the 2017 revival of Once On This Island.

This upcoming show will see Newell sharing stories from their life and career to a song list of favorite tunes.

Michael O. Mitchell is music directing, and Michelle Bosch will serve as production stage manager. Hudson Theatrical Associates' Sean Gorski is technical supervisor, and Baseline Theatrical's Jonathan Whitton is general manager.

Tickets are currently on sale at Audible.com.
