The Startup is a sharp, satirical new musical about the price we pay for digital fame. Set in the cutthroat world of Big Tech, it follows Chip Cooper and his idealistic team as they try to build a more ethical social media platform, just as their company teeters on the edge of collapse. With biting humor and bold heart, The Startup dives into our tangled relationship with technology, tackling everything from social media use and data privacy to influencer culture and the rise of AI. It’s a timely story about ambition, integrity, and what we're willing to sacrifice in the pursuit of success.

Our upcoming workshop production of The Startup, premiering at The Flea Theater in Tribeca April 1-19, is look for volunteer ushers to help support our performances. The usher will report directly to our House Manager. Ushers will support in making guests feel welcome when arriving to the theater, helping them find their seats in the theater, and ensure that guests have a pleasant, enjoyable experience.

The ushers will also help support set up for our opening night reception and will be on hand for any patron needs that come up, such as support with ADA accessible, etc.

This is a wonderful opportunity for emerging artists to get involved with and support a new work in development. We are looking for kind, dedicated, and committed artists who are passionate about new works. Ushers will be permitted to attend their performances free of charge. Please note that ushers are not expected to volunteer for every performance and we are willing to work around your schedule/availability.
