Special Projects & Social Media Associate
The PIT – New York City

The PIT is seeking a sharp, creative, and highly organized Special Projects & Social Media Associate to work directly with the theater’s founder and leadership team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is excited to contribute both strategically and hands-on across programming, partnerships, and digital presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the founder on special projects, including new shows, partnerships, and events
• Coordinate across producers, performers, and external collaborators
• Assist in developing and executing social media strategy (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Create and manage engaging content that reflects The PIT’s voice and community
• Track performance metrics and identify growth opportunities
• Help streamline communication and ensure projects move efficiently from idea to execution

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience managing social media accounts (professional or personal with clear voice)
• Interest in comedy, improv, and live theater
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset

Bonus:

• Experience in theater production, comedy, or live events
• Basic design or video editing skills
• Familiarity with NYC comedy/theater scene

Details:

• Part-time / flexible hours (with potential to grow)
• NYC-based (in-person collaboration expected)
