SYNOPSIS
Written by Ted Swindley, the author of Always… Patsy Cline, this boisterous country jukebox musical follows quintessential Southern ladies Angela, Darlene, and Sue Ellen as they leave home to escape suffocating limitations and follow their dreams: to be country music stars in Nashville, Tennessee. United by their shared musical passion, the newly dubbed “Honky Tonk Angels” find sisterhood as they sing their way through a medley of familiar crowd-pleasing country classics like “I’ll Fly Away,” “I Will Always Love You,” “Delta Dawn,” and “Will the Circle Be Unbroken?” The Angels’ journey culminates with their hilarious and poignant closing-night performance at Honky Tonk Heaven—and an important turning point that has each of them fixing their eyes on new horizons.
