DESCRIPTION

The Mac-Haydn Theatre (Chatham, NY) is seeking the following instrumentalists for the upcoming 2026 summer season. In hopes of engaging with musicians in the Hudson Valley and Albany area, local artists are encouraged to apply. MHT is a wonderful place for those looking to build their resume, play a lot of music, gain experience, and build relationships with other musicians. Dates and titles for each position are listed below. Musicians available for multiple shows are preferred but not required!

Please submit a resume and a sample of your playing to [email protected]. Please include the instrument in the subject of your email. Your submission will be reviewed by the Music Supervisor who will contact select applicants for an interview. Applications will be accepted until April 12.

ALL positions offer: $500/wk, $100 Travel Stipend, Shared Housing

Reed Doubler (Piccolo, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe): July 6–19 (Secret Garden)

Reed Doubler (Piccolo, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophones): July 20–August 9 (Newsies), August 10–23 (Beautiful), & August 24–September 6 (Hairspray)

Guitar (Acoustic, Electric, Mandolin): June 22–July 5 (9 to 5), August 10–23 (Beautiful), & August 24–September 6 (Hairspray)

Violin/Viola Doubler: July 6–19 (Secret Garden)

French Horn: July 6-19 (Secret Garden)

Cello: July 6–19 (Secret Garden)

SALARY
