DESCRIPTION

Founded in 2001, Soyulla Artists (www.soyulla.com) is an NYC-based music management organization engaging exceptional teaching artists to provide private instruction throughout the city and New Jersey. We're currently seeking a New Jersey-based voice instructor to teach private lessons to students of all ages and levels (we are not currently hiring for NYC; please keep an eye out for other Soyulla postings).

Compensation is competitive and varies across our divisions. In addition to private lessons, selected artists may have access to after-school teaching opportunities through Soyulla Center Stage (www.soyullacenterstage.com) and Soyulla Stars Division (www.soyullastars.com). Rates within the $80–$200/hr range reflect differences in division, experience level, responsibilities, and engagement type.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel to students' homes within New Jersey (including, but not limited to, Essex, Morris, Union Counties), with a commute fee (up to $15) in addition to the teaching rate
• Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Arts in Music (Master of Music degree, a plus)
• Professional level performance experience
• Minimum of five years of private studio teaching experience
• Ability to teach students aged 5 and up
• Versatility across multiple genres, including classical, musical theater, and pop
• A strong commitment to mentorship and student growth, with the ability to bring joy, excitement, and inspiration to students of all ages
• Warm, engaging teaching style with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
