Cooking Specialist – Summer 2026
Elmwood Day Camp | White Plains, NY
Do you love cooking, working with kids, and bringing creativity into the kitchen? Elmwood Day Camp is looking for a Cooking Specialist to lead fun, engaging, and hands-on cooking experiences for our campers this summer.
At Elmwood, we believe camp is “A Great Place to Be Me”—and that includes giving kids the chance to explore, create, and try something new every day.
What You’ll Do:

Lead daily cooking activities for campers ages 3–11

Plan and prepare simple, kid-friendly recipes and projects

Create a warm, inclusive, and energetic environment in the cooking space

Teach basic cooking skills, safety, and kitchen routines

Collaborate with group counselors and specialists to support campers’ overall experience
We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Loves working with children and brings great energy

Has experience cooking, teaching, or leading activities (formal or informal)

Is organized, creative, and flexible
-
Can manage a group while keeping things fun and safe
-
Is excited to be part of a collaborative, supportive camp team
Camp Dates: June 29 – August 20, 2026 (Closed July 3)
Salary Range: $4,800 – $7,200
