Watch Andrea Martin Perform You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown's 'Schroeder' at Broadway Dream Roles Concert

Two-time Tony winner Andrea Martin (My Favorite Year, Pippin) finally got the chance to play Lucy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown at the inaugural Broadway Dream Roles concert in April 2025 to benefit Broadway Cares.
In the video above, Martin humorously shares that one of her first auditions was for the Clark Gesner-John Gordon musical based on the famed Charles M. Schulz comic strip "Peanuts," but her career took her to film and TV first. The Broadway favorite then performs "Schroeder," featuring actor, musician, Sirius XM Radio host, and Playbill.com columnist Seth Rudetsky on piano.
The second annual Broadway Dream Roles concert is scheduled for April 20 at 7 PM at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (the current home of Moulin Rouge! The Musical). Produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares, the evening features a mix of Broadway favorites and rising stars stepping into roles they have longed to play, but never had the opportunity to.
This year's starry lineup will include Tony winner Santino Fontana (Tootsie), Sydney James Harcourt (CATS: The Jellicle Ball), Arielle Jacobs (Here Lies Love), Christiani Pitts (Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), Tony winner Ali Stroker (Oklahoma!), and 2025 Jimmy Award winner Chris Hayes. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.
Broadway Cares is one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grantmaking organizations. By drawing upon the talents, resources, and generosity of the American theatre community, since 1988 Broadway Cares has awarded more than $300 million for essential services for people with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses across the United States.
Other annual Broadway Cares events include Red Bucket Follies, Broadway Backwards, Broadway Bares, the Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction, and more.
A limited number of tickets are available at BroadwayCares.org.
