SUMMER CAMP IN-PERSON THEATER TEACHING ARTIST
mainstages, an educational interactive theater company for children, is now seeking theater staff to work at stunning camps across the United States this coming summer. We are seeking passionate, flexible, fun-loving and inclusive In-Person Teaching Artists with theatre backgrounds available this summer!

ABOUT THE CAMP
Camp Kehilla, a Sid Jacobson JCC experience, is designed to make the typical camp experience accessible to neurodivergent campers. Our approach allows for a customized summer for children ages 5-21 years with developmental disabilities, Autism spectrum disorder, and/or other neurodevelopmental conditions. By combining typical camp activities such as swimming, arts & crafts, and sports with evidence-based social facilitation techniques, campers have an opportunity to forge friendships and develop social skills in an environment that closely resembles that of a neurotypical setting. The flexible structure of camp promotes the ability for each camper’s individual strengths to flourish, which helps craft a personalized experience for everyone who attends. Camp is located in Wheatley Heights, Long Island, NY *Staff memeber must be able to self-report. Applicants with a vehicle are strongly encouraged to apply.*
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
mainstages brings Theater Action Zone! to Camp Kehilla campers this Summer 2026. Participants will learn aged-based theater fundamental skills-building games, movement exercises, music, and scene work! Adaptable for Grades K-8. Each session is complete with a different theme and focus. Adaptable for all ages!
DATES AND TIMES:
Tuesdays and Thursdays; 9:00AM-1:00PM. Postion starts on June 30th.
